Cancellation Policy

Due to a high demand for sessions, we have a strict 24-hour cancellation policy. If you need to change or cancel your appointment, please login to the MindBody app or website or send an email to justine@siren-yoga.com to process this change more than 24-hours before your appointment time. Any appointments cancelled or changed within the 24-hour time will be lost. The cancellation policy applies to appointments booked within the 24-hour time, so please be mindful when making same day appointments.

Arrival

Our classes are 45 minutes long in the pool, but we block off the full hour per session. To have sufficient time to change into your swimwear and make the most of your experience in our classes- all classes start promptly. There may locker rooms or bathrooms on-site to use before and after pool activities. Instructors reserve the right to refuse entry if the class has already started.

First-Time Clients are required to arrive at least 15 minutes before class start-time. During this time, you receive your mask and weights, purchase your regulator mouthpiece, and confirm your paperwork.

Repeat Clients are required to arrive on the pool deck at least 5 minutes before class start-time. If you are not signed in 5 minutes before class, you will lose your class* and your spot will be forfeited to the first person on the wait list.

*Single & Day-Pass holders lose their class. Unlimited plan holders are charged $10.

What to Wear & Bring

You are required to wear a bathing suit or waterproof yoga clothes for your practice. We do not provide bathing suits or underwater exposure suits.

We do not provide towels, so we suggest you rent or bring one.

We recommend bringing a plastic bag for your wet clothing for after class.

We also recommend, if you tend to get cold (see below) quickly, that you wear a form of thin exposure suit, such as a thin dive skin (we recommend our friends at Slipins.com) or a thin shorty wetsuit.

Extra Class Details

We do not require a swim cap, but hair must be pulled back and secured.

Traditional scuba gear, including tanks, fins & snorkels, will not be utilized.

Regulator mouthpieces must be purchased by or at first class. While regulators are used interchangeably, the mouthpiece is a personal item and is client-specific for sanitary reasons. They are available for purchase at a local dive shop or in-person from your SirenYoga™ Instructor. In order to participate, this item must be brought to every class or a new one must be purchased.

Hydration

Sustaining hydration is essential for normal bodily functions and for peak exercise performance. Aquatic exercise, as with any form of exertion, has a potential risk of dehydration. Breathing through a regulator also gives some users a mild form of dry-mouth. To combat this effect, as well as to keep the body at peak form, we advise you to drink 1-2 glasses of water at least one hour before each class begins, bring a reusable water bottle, and continue to hydrate after your practice.

Water Temperature

Your entire body will be submerged for a full 45 minutes of our 1 hour long classes. Thus, it is important to plan accordingly for your body temperature preferences concerning what you will wear.

The human body regulates its core temperature by maintaining a balance between heat gain and heat loss. When all factors are considered, the body generally loses heat 4x faster in water than it does in the air of the same temperature. While extremely unlikely, it is important to be aware of the potential for and dangers of aquatic hypothermia, the life-threatening lowering of the core temperature as a result of extended exposure to extreme cold (air or water).

Each pool will have its own regulated water temperatures and we do our best at SirenYoga to work with aquatic facilities that operate with warmer water temperatures, since our practice takes place completely underwater for extended periods of time. However, especially if you are not used to extended aquatic activities, it is best to be prepared for your body to react to the cold.

Lost Items

We are not responsible for stolen or lost items.
